- Description: A formal complaint regarding mushrooms, wolves, butterflies and other excesses of existence.
- Author: Naomi Smith

it's too much.

with the sky and the mud
and the smiling and the love.

Enough with the snails,
get off it with the wolves.

Don't feed me your peaches.
I don't want your ridiculous rain.

Go away with your dreams,
birdsong and tides.

Dogs?

Excuse me.

You've gone too far.

Keep the jellyfish,
the mushrooms and slugs.

Flowers?

Desist.

Don't even start me on fingers,
protrusions and toes.

Leave the butterflies at the door.

Check your llamas and goats.

Don't give me eggs.

You're just showing off now.
